Plagiarism Policy

Frontiers and Perspectives in AI Transformation (FPAIT) is committed to maintaining high standards of originality, academic integrity, and ethical scholarly publishing. The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, inappropriate duplication, or misrepresentation of previously published or unpublished work.

Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts may be screened using appropriate plagiarism and similarity-detection software before or during the editorial and peer review process.

A similarity percentage alone is not considered conclusive evidence of plagiarism. Editors assess the nature, source, extent, and context of identified similarities before making an editorial decision.

Forms of Plagiarism

Plagiarism may include:

  • copying text, ideas, data, code, algorithms, figures, tables, or other material without proper attribution;

  • presenting another person's work or ideas as one's own;

  • inappropriate paraphrasing without proper citation;

  • substantial reuse of an author's own previously published work without appropriate citation or disclosure (self-plagiarism);

  • duplicate or redundant publication without appropriate disclosure;

  • using copyrighted material without proper acknowledgement or required permission; and

  • presenting AI-generated or AI-assisted material in a manner that results in unattributed, fabricated, or misleading scholarly content.

Editorial Action

If potential plagiarism is identified before publication, the journal may request clarification or revision from the authors. Manuscripts containing substantial or serious plagiarism may be rejected.

If plagiarism is identified after publication, FPAIT will investigate the matter and may issue a correction, retraction, or other appropriate editorial notice, depending on the nature and severity of the case.

Serious cases of suspected research misconduct may be referred to the authors' institutions or other appropriate authorities where necessary.

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their manuscripts, accurately citing all sources, properly acknowledging reused material, and obtaining permission for copyrighted third-party content where required.

Authors are also responsible for verifying any content produced or assisted by artificial intelligence tools and ensuring that such use does not compromise originality, accuracy, attribution, or research integrity.

FPAIT evaluates plagiarism concerns based on the available evidence and scholarly context rather than relying solely on a numerical similarity score.
